Meet The Robots

Technology has come a long way in the field of medicine. Two robots, the MAKOplasty robot and the da Vinci^® robot, play an important role in the field. The MAKOplasty robot is used for MAKOplasty, minimally invasive surgery to treat osteoarthritis of the knee. The da Vinci Surgical System is used in a range of minimally invasive procedures, to treat everything from uterine fibroids to obesity. It offers many potential benefits over traditional surgery, including less pain and a shorter hospital stay. Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is offering two open house events where the community can come see and touch these cutting-edge robots.
