Inova Teams Up with Washington Mystics


Inova leaders join players, executives and local officials in unveiling the new 2011 Mystics game jersey.

Inova Health System and the Washington Mystics have teamed up to promote health and wellness in the Greater Washington metro area. Our shared dedication to positively impacting the health of our community and tackling challenges such as childhood obesity, women's health issues and preventative health will make a difference in the region. Together, we'll work to further strengthen access and education for preventative care and healthy lifestyles.

	Lose Weight in a SNAP Child obesity is, unfortunately, a growing problem. Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is working to combat this problem with the FUN (Fitness, Understanding and Nutrition) and SNAP (Simple Nutrition and Physical Activity) programs. These are designed for children aged 7–15. They feature an exercise physiologist, registered dieticians and a licensed professional counselor. The next six-week session starts Sept. 10.
